As a registered Building Surveyor, John has been practising as a private certifier for in excess of twenty years. During this time; John has developed strong relationships with authorities and become well known and respected within the industry.

Prior to forming Grimbos Building Surveyors, John was an Equity Director of international construction consulting company, Davis Langdon (Aecom), where he established a successful Building Surveying team, employing and managing in excess of thirty staff. John contributed exceptional outcomes to the business, overseeing the National Building Surveying Directors and was a valued member of the Management Board.

John provides a depth of experience in all areas of the private and public sector industries, affording him the knowledge and experience to consult on a variety of projects. Clients include, but are not limited to, the Department of Health & Human Services, Superfunds, Government Departments and private and public development / construction companies.

Possessing a Graduate Certificate in Performance Based Building & Fire Codes affords John with the expertise and ability to assess Alternate Solutions. This credential provides the opportunity to achieve cost savings and efficient project outcomes; whilst still satisfying client, team and statutory authority requirements.

John also retains a Domestic Builders Licence, giving him an appreciation for the building industry, processes and on-site demands.

Passionate in ensuring client satisfaction, John maintains exceptional client relations; of which many of them have adopted John’s services since his inception into the Building Surveying industry. With a strong business acumen, John demands the best from himself and his team from project commencement to project completion.
