Never did I foresee the support and generosity that was received for Super Boss Day.
In total, you donated $8,900.22. What an amazing effort – thank you!!
The day started with a visit to my daughters school. As you can imagine, there were some very overly excited children, bemused parents and a confused principal. I was chased down by children for photos and there were even requests for ‘selfies’ – you might find me (Captain America) plastered all over Instagram.
Thankfully my day was spent in the office where I could hide behind the telephone, a computer screen and a building permit stamp. The staff tried to schedule meetings and a staff lunch, but Captain America was not up to facing the streets of Fitzroy…..although I’m sure he would have fitted in quite well.
Suffice to say the day was very rewarding, with the ability to educate people as to the significance of Captain America and the Super Hero theme.
This annual event will go a long way in promoting HeartKids and providing awareness into childhood heart disease and we look forward to Super Boss Day 2016
Signing off, Captain America
The amount raised for Super Boss Day as a total effort from all who participated sits at $74,575.83.
We couldn’t do it without your support!
In loving memory of Portia Grimbos : 22.3.2010 – 30.4.2010
