In conjunction with the NCC 2019 coming into effect on 1 May 2019, there are a number of Australian standards that will be introduced and existing standards that will be updated. These include but are not limited to the following :

  • AS 1428.4.1-2009 – Means to assist the orientation of people with vision impairment
  • AS 4200.2-2017 – Pliable building membranes and underlays
  • AS 1670.4-2018 – Fire detection, warning, control and intercom systems
  • AS 3600-2018 – Concrete Structures
  • AS 3959-2018 – Construction of building in bushfire-prone areas
  • AS 5113-2016 – Fire propagation testing and classification of external walls of buildings
