New residential zones for Victoria have been introduced that better respond to present-day requirements and give greater clarity about the type of development that can be expected in any residential area.
Key changes include :
> Setting a mandatory building height of eight metres
> Improved purpose statements for the zones
> Restricting non-residential uses
> Allowing small-scale commercial uses in the Residential Growth Zone.
